Nuclea’s program on inflammation, on which it is collaborating with Clark University, seeks to provide well defined biomarkers in cell lines and animal models for Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome (HPS) lung fibrosis that will allow the testing of drugs for treating this disease. Another goal of the program is to establish readily available animal and cell models for inflammation that can be used for efficacy analyses of putative anti-inflammatory agents for the lung and other tissues.
